For US-bound shipments, both FCL and LCL require AMS filing prior to vessel departure. ISF (10+2) must be submitted within the specified timeframe; late submissions may result in fines and increased inspection rates by US Customs.
Declaration elements include the actual consignee, seller information, HS codes, and container packing lists. Repeated amendments increase the risk of inspections and port demurrage.
For shipments with repeated false declarations or involving restricted/prohibited items, U.S. Customs may require return or destruction of the shipment at the shipper's expense.
US-bound customers are advised to deliver goods to the warehouse and secure declaration documents 5 working days in advance. Submit any amendment requests as early as possible.
